Our National Debt, a huge burden not just on the Government in which it is held, but on all the citizens of this country. The National Debt has been a growing problem since this country has been founded. Only has the Debt been a surplus a couple of times, most recently with President Bill Clinton who created an estimated 500B+ surplus and as he said, if the same trend of taxing and spending is held into place, our National Debt should be gone within 10 years. During the 2001 campaign Bush vs. Gore each ran on different platforms, one on "Fiscal Conservative" and another on the same trends of Bill Clinton. In a damning election in which later to be found out as a mess up, Bush was elected on that he "deserved the Presidency" but later vote counting found out Al Gore would had won the Election. Bush implemented bills that would cut the taxes for the Rich, and started 2 un-necessary wars. These outcomes and the opposite of what is defined as a Fiscal Conservative "a fiscal policy that advocates avoiding deficit spending." is what has gotten us into the National Debt we are now sunk into. Many Republicans would advocate that President Obama is the President that has added the most to our National Debt, but the facts would tell another story.
Do you see a trend? Under all Democratic Presidents, the debt has gone down starting at President Truman. Some Republicans complain about Carter and the debt, and how Reagan had to fix it. The chart clearly shows President Carter reducing the debt, and Reagan a "Fiscal Conservative" increasing it and then Bush 1 increasing it as well. President Clinton then comes in and lowers it, and creates a 500B+ surplus. Bush 2 leaves with ending any chance of reducing the National Debt, adding Trillions to it, starting the Largest Depression since the 1920's, and ending up with 2 huge costly wars. Leaving the pieces for President Obama to pick up, wonder why the National Debt is still going up? Because The Republicans left it for President Obama.
This Chart Shows what our National Debt will look like in 10 years if another Republican was elected. The Republicans said they would not change one thing if they are elected again. Which do you choose?
This is not biased at all. Not at all.
